High return PPC and targeted content marketing
For the best part of two years I managed Google Adwords and produced content for Cardea Solutions before they decided to take all their marketing in house.
The aim of the PPC and content marketing was to drive traffic and generate sales online, with the company already enjoying huge offline success with their safety and security products. I looked after two websites, Cardea Solutions and the more specialised Window Security Safety, looking to grow the online side of the business.
During the two years I completely revamped their Adwords campaigns, producing consistent, profitable results that grew month on month. My reporting system was built specifically for Cardea too, so they could track the metrics that mattered to them – not just CTR, but CPC, spend to revenue ratio and more – all at keyword level.
On average, the PPC campaigns as a whole produced significant results, with £4 returned for every £1 spent.
A second phase involved the company’s US website. My PPC knowledge allowed us to create a PPC campaign targeted specifically at selling Cardea’s Fingershield door finger products in the States. Early results were impressive – a revenue to spend ratio as high as 10:1 was achieved.
My content marketing campaign for Cardea was highly targeted to their key markets of education, health and leisure. By producing consistently high quality content my aim was to improve the organic search engine rankings of the Cardea and Window Security websites, increase traffic and ultimately increase revenue from organic sources.
I also produced content that was highly shareable, touched on current events related to safety and security and was informative for key decision makers.
Over time revenue from organic sources grew, contributing to the overall revenue of the company in an increasingly significant manner.
By the end of 2016 Cardea had enjoyed their best months of online sales ever, month on month.
